Sharing his excitement on Instagram Stories on Friday, Nov. 1, the 48-year-old actor posted a throwback snap of him and Jackman on set, alongside a heartfelt caption. “Can’t believe the amount of Deadpool & Wolvie costumes running around last night,” he marveled.
For Reynolds, seeing everyone from tiny trick-or-treaters to fully geared-up “geezer-pools” donning red and black was nothing short of surreal. “It’s like having a dream come true—but a dream you didn’t know you were dreaming of,” he wrote, reminiscing on his journey with the character since first bringing the “meta Marvel” antihero to life in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Since then, Reynolds’ Deadpool has gone from comic-book favorite to pop-culture icon, especially with his latest Marvel Cinematic Universe release proving a smash hit.
